The reason Australians love their 4WD

We had a good laugh when we came back from a short walk and discovered that our shoppingtrolley we rented for the weekend was burried between huge 4WD. Later we realized why Australians love them, they can drive with them to the beach, park the car on the shore and unfold their camping gear in front of the car and enjoy beer and the sunset.......

Trip around Fleurieu Peninsula

As we had enough of tasting wine all day long we took a trip around Fleurieu Peninsula. We headed to Coffin Harbour, which is a small little tourist town on the coast. Coffin Harbour is famous for its horse carriage that takes visitors to nearby Granite island.

Weekend trip McLaren Vale

After being in Australia for 4 months, we treated ourselves with a weekend away in the Mclaren Vale near Adelaide. One of Australia`s famous wine regions. We stayed in a lovely cottage on a hill, with a beautiful view on sunny days....
Unfortunately it was raining. But in Australia you have to be thankful for every drop of rain at the moment.


A random view of the vineyards. Looks a bit like somewhere in Europe, the only thing that doesn`t fit are the eucalyptus trees next to the vineyards.



Our hosts provided us with some yummie sparkling wine upon arrival, which we were enjoying with some strawberries. Matt also enjoyed the lovely and very tasteful lazzyboy.......
